Membership intergity
I was wondering if you ever thought about deleting those "ghost" members who sign up and never return (for a long time at least). My motive behind this is if you could change my member id to "Andy" :) not a big deal but I find it annoying when joining forums or email service with my name already taken, especially when those people never come back.

I doubt that will happen, because when you come to this website and see over 30,000 members registered, it tends to look cool.
Someone already has Pantallica :( but have never posted once. :(

the hosts could try a trial based membership, e.g. if the member hasn't contributed to the forum in a positive manner they could be banned for a time or their account deleted. This way if the member’s account can be deleted if they don’t post sufficient helpful & meaningful (not spam) post or if all the member does is rubbish very one else then they too can be deleted or suppended from thr forum for a time.
Just some ideas. :D

sorry to post again so quickly, but I’m in a collage computer class and am really bored. This boredom resulted in me checking the member’s area of this site.
Now from this area I took a sample (pages 1-10), which is about 1% (300 members), out of these 300 members only 23 have posted (8%) and out of these 23 only two have posted more than 10 post (9%).
If we use these figures it will show that only 2,300 of the 30,000 members have posted, and of these 2,300 members that have posted only 200 of them have posted more than 10 posts.
Meaning that less than 1% (about .7%) of the members are regular posters

You lot appear to be somewhat elitist.
Let people post when they want to.
They could just be reading, (and enjoying) your postings and
feel that they don't need to reply!!

Don't forget that the forum is only one area of guitartricks. Another reason for becoming a member is to check out the tricks sections or post your own lessons. Just because somebody doesn't participate in the forum doesn't mean that they arent' an active member.
