It's another inquiry about a fantasy something.
This time I would like to know your Fantasy Lineup for a band.(all time) Mine would be: (guitar)John Petrucci,(guitar)James Hetfield,(bass)Jason Newsted and (vocals)Eddie Vedder,Ian Astbury or Jim Morrison.

I hope I can get a few of your fantasy lineups.
If I leave here tomorrow,
Will you still remember me?

jeez, i think it's hard to tell who you like

mine is

vocals: Hansi Kursch
Rhythm Guitars: Jon Schaffer
Lead Guitars: Marty Friedman
Bass: John Myung
Drums: Jon Bonham
Keyboards: Mustis
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

Vocals : Sting (best male voice alive, what can I say)

Bass guitar: Jaco Pastorius (words wouldn't be accurate enough, go grab a CD by Jaco)

Drums:Billy Cobham (damn! he can hit harder than anyone, and he can definitely play intricate stuff)

Guitars: If I were humble, I wouldn't put "myself" but I sure would love to play with them guys!!!
If I didn't cut it thought, I'd say Allan Holdsworth, both rhythm and lead (most gorgeous tone ever).

Hmm.. King Crimson? Listen to Discipline and see what I mean. But that's cheating.

Vocals: Mike Patten (faith no more) and woman from Enya, clannad or cranberries or something like that, I like that kind of female voice.
guitar: Paco De Lucia (not heard much but it'd be nice to have an awesome fingerstyle player)
Guitar: Either a very scary metal players with terrific chops and tons of melody (e.g. Pettrucci, Glenn Tipton or David Moore) or Terje Rypdal who plays all these neat volume swells and experiments with dissonance and plays orchestral and jazz music, talented man far far underated.
Bass: Stu Hamm or Mark King, slap, tap, bobble, insanity!
Keys: Chopin, Gottschalk or Rachmaninov (I love classical piano) or maybe that freak jazzer Art Tatum who appears to defy all physical laws by playing things that are not possible.
violin: (come on, you need strings!) Maxim Vengerov... This guy's so good he makes me laugh tears. ENVY ENVY.
Cello Raphael Wallfisch cause he's the only cellist I can name.
Drums: Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater or maybe Bill bruford (king crimson).
Triangle: Why me naturally! I'm very talented, I have diverse talents also and can play square, circle, rombus and fool equally well.

So many near misses.. No idea how they;d jam of course! There might be too much bravado with all those competing egos, might end up **** actually.

If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?

Singing Vocals: Aaron Lewis (Staind) or Chad Kroeger (Nickleback)
Shouting Vocals: David Draiman (Disturbed Not really shouting but he's too good to leave out) or Corey Taylor (Slipknot/Stone Sour)
Guitar: Zakk Wylde (BLS/Ozzy) and Dimebag Darrell (Pantera/New Found Power) or Dan Donegan (Disturbed) and Kerry King (Slayer)
Bass: Ryan Jurhs (flaw) or Robbie Merrill (Godsmack)
Drums: Joey Jordison (Slipknot/Guitar for Murderdolls) or Lars Ulrich (Metallica)

rockwise, the current G3 line-up is about as good as it gets.

other than that the 'Live at the Greek' album line-up of Billy Cobham, Stanley Clarke, Larry Carlton & Najee's pretty hard to beat.

my fantasy lineup?

either the original Mothers of Invention lineup (zappa)
or the dudes from the Ensemble Modern.
