Okay so heres the story, I use a lot of Wah on my clean channel, which is at a moderate volume. The problem is, since my amp is tube when I strike the strings hard and the wah is back, I distort very easily and it does not sound pleasent.

Will a compressor solve my problem? I really dont need anything for my distorted channel, I just want my clean sound more evened out and limited, so it wont distort.

I've heard great things about the carl martin compressor, however I don't have that much money, I can get a Boss CS-3 for $58.

What do you all think?

Doc, usually knows his stuff.

If it's an effect or recording, he's probably owned it or something similar at one time. Take his advice or check out harmony-central.com for a review.

Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.
