It should be brought to everyones attention that "a better education" concerns the person, not the building or area(colimbine anyone?).In fact, kids that go to overpopulated, understaffed schools have a great curriculum advantage in that most likley high standards are not often required.Ive seen "dumb" kids graduate where they would have failed 20 times over in a more demanding private/well funded school.
It should also be noted that "black communities" are just that.Separated from other races by there OWN choice. If theres a bad neighborhood,it was created by its occupants.
This is harsh and not my own words, but ive heard many times "that neighborhood used to be good until the (insert your minority of choice)people moved in.
I'm a white person...and I cant walk 3/4ths of the streets anywhere in the area simply because I'm white.
There is such a thing as reverse racism and its more DIRECT than any lame clan meeting or segragation sign.
I think "the white mans debt" has been paid when a white kid can be jumped by ten black/puerto rican persons simply for being white.
This problem is much larger than some orchard grove in georgia where a black guy gets harrased by the local pigs(dosnt make it right).
And another thing,a great majority of black people want nothing to do with the phrase african american, exept when it involves benefits.I wish being considerd caucasian came with perks.I'm not even middle class and most white people I know arnt middle class!I make less than 10,000 a year but I couldnt get a free college education, good grades or not!
If I walked down to a black, hispanic, asian e.c.t "area" and asked for a job as a bag boy where 9 of 12 baggers arnt white, got denied the job and sued,do you think I would get the job(let alone a settelment!)?
Theres a black entertainment channel, black specific clothes(fubu=FOR US BY US)and a black college fund...If nobodys noticed, segragation is still pretty bad.
And its by the "minority's" choice!
(for anyone who would think I'm racsist,my best friend is black...)
Try once,fail twice...
