That's 100% true; my brother is in College, and he couldn't get a scholership, all he could get is "good financing on student loans". He averaged a 3.400 GPA; we were middle class; maybe the high end of middle class. That is, my parents. My brother is lower-class, makes about $9,000 a year (he took a year off after high school and got a job). I don't see the phone coming off the hook for the government willing to pay his tuition.
My mom just got a job at a College; I will be going there, free tuition, because my mom is a Head Member on the staff, and a huge asset to the college. Is that fair? I think it's fair, at least more fair than giving free education to people because of their race.
White people live in the slums too, and when their children fail, they simply become Trailer Trash. No help from the government; that would be racist, right? Unless you count Welfare, which is available to everyone.
Nobody forces you to live in a certain place; that's why we live in the supposedly 'free world'. This is a democracy, one of the only countries where you can be dirt poor, and end up loaded with cash. One of my friends had a grandfather that was extremely poor (didn't say what his job was, if he had one); the grandfather's son didn't want to live in that situation, so he worked hard, depsite living in ****ty conditions, and became a doctor. Now he makes $450,000.000 a year, and they live in an extremely large house.
"Was he white?" - Does it ****in matter?
Black people should get the same student loans that everyone else gets; After all, it means you'll pay them off after you leave the college, and have found the high-paying job you want; What's wrong with that?
