Top 10 Posters 2003

Heh . . . I got busy with school and work during the spring and sort of lost interest for a while. (there are only so many posts about modes that I can bear to answer).
But now I'm back, and we shall see what happens. Has anyone seen Skee1 around?

I saw him post once this year, it's a shame, it was fun just trying to decipher what he was trying to say. I hope he's o.k.
# 3
I don't remember him....I'll check the search engine for some of his posts/threads.

I agree with Incidents, some of the Mod's should be removed. I've been coming here for 3 years off and on, and have only seen a few moderators post.
It's up to Jon I suppose.

The Mods have to be as unbiased as possible, otherwise they aren't moderators. Since I think I have alot to offer as a Mod at Guitartricks, I decided to watch what I say a little more; A source told me that a few people were offended by some comments I made, about this or that; the last thing I want to do is hurt someone's feelings that I don't even know. I suppose I lost my composure during the whole "Metalic Dude" scandal, but I'm ready to put that behind me (and us, as a board). Again, I'm sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings or offended anyone at any point during my GuitarTricks career, chances are that I didn't mean it (It must be this heat!:D;):))

Yeah, he was a good dude, but he didn't exactly have the best grasp of English grammar. LOL

Well, I don't think it's comments, but an overall attitude, I haven't been on this board for a long time, and it seems you've picked up a tone that some people might dislike.

LOL!!!
A moderator shouldn't necessarily be judged by frequency of posts, should he? His job is not to make a lot of posts, but to ensure that the rules are observed in each particular section, isn't it?
At least, that's my understanding...
P.S. Azrael: I eagerly await the next chapter in your signature...
... and that's all I have to say about that.

I don't know about that; I think it was mostly the month of August, tough month for me (going back to school, mom got laid off from work, cat died, ****ty job, etc), and generally wasn't in a pleasent mood. "Incidents Happen", all I can say.

That's the idea, yes (note that Skee1 wasn't a mod). Take a look at some of those moderator's last posts, though. I probably shouldn't have put the 'total posts', and wasn't going to, until I saw guitarist101's total post count (.....30). I think that if you don't make a post in a year, that means you're definitely not logging in and ensuring the rules are observed, or so it seems to me...

I agree if they aren't here to even watch the board, how can they moderate. Even if they are "silent moderators" that serves no purpose. I think Doc and Lord are awesome, they always answer your questions in their forum. Doc is the main with the Recording!! :D

Yeah, we have some great mods in Lord, Lal (now that he's back), Simon, Notingthemistake, and many others. "Why?", you might ask? I'll tell you why...
Lord- The friggin' king of Guitar Electronics/Electronics in general. I thought that I knew a decent amount about electronics when I knew the difference between series, parallel, crests, troughs, amperage, voltage, etc. After reading some of Lord's electronic's posts, I realized that I haven't yet begun to break the surface. Very helpful.
Simon- Knows his stuff with recording; If I could think of a nickname, it'd be "Recording Guru", because he owns the recording forum...And that recording studio is siiiiick!!!
Noticing- "Songwriting Guru"; obviously knows good songwriting from bad songwriting, knows the tools of the trade in songwriting, and I use many of his tips all the time. Great guy.
Now, do I fit any of these? No, probably not, but I just got out of a depression-type thing I was in for about three weeks, and I feel great. Slept over at a friend's house, we went to Wal-Mart at midnight and bought "Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" on DVD, watched it all night, twice. Granted, I saw the movie in the theaters four times, but it was very nice, spiritually, and for inspiration. Anyways, it is weird becuase I got two hours of sleep last night, yet I'm full of energy right now.
happy, for the first time in a while. Anyways, enough of the personal stuff.

Lal- The funniest damn moderator this world has ever seen; used to have the best damn sig ever, with the pink/red slug, but somehow it mysteriously disappeared. Nobody can quite pernounce his screen name, so like Rask, we simply cut off most of his screen name while typing:). Lord and Lal are the kings of Moderation, and I'd actually like to see a Mod Fight one of these days, see who becomes king of the hill. A nickname that I came up with, would have to be "The Immaculate French-Man"; I'm 80% french (though an american at the same time), so you could say that this is from one french man to another. My last name means "The Vine" in French (La Vigne);
----------------
This French-Man is known to be forgetful....sorry about that, lal!
