Mine is from "I am the walrus" by the Beatles. I first used it for my hotmail address and now use it for everything else on the 'net.

You?
... and that's all I have to say about that.

Mine means "the crazy slug" in french.
That's what my friends call me.
And it's always cool to see people's reactions to my playing when I'm introduced as "the slug"... :)

The purple slug? :)

I found out I couldn't use it because it was copyrighted by an artist... So out of respect for the guy, I deleted it.
I can't find it anymore though... Weird... A disappearing slug? WTF?

Mine comes from a Pantera concert.

Jason Newstead joined Pantera as they covered "Seek and Destroy", with Phil on the guitar.

He goes:

"Ladies and Gentlemen welcome PANTALLICA!!!"

And the song starts.

I thought it was pretty cool.
Sometimes I hit notes only dogs can hear.

The name comes from a D'Addario promo T-shirt issued about 18 years ago. It was pulled off the market almost immediately. J.R.R. Tolkien's estate probably sued them over it, which is why I misspell it. Some folks just have no sense of hee-haw

My favourite satirist, Terry Pratchett, entitled one of his books 'Soul Music'. The title got taken rather literally by some of the characters, while they were playing "music with rocks in it" .....uhmm, maybe you had to be there.

This question got some interesting replies a couple years ago... click here

'Chacron' comes from a video game - the dreamcast version of Sonic the Hedgehog 2.....there's a sub-game where you get to raise these little creatures called Chao...they're a bit like a cyber-pet. You can enter them in races and in one of the later ones you have to race this cute little black on called Chacron....he's damn hard to beat  but i loved the name so i stole it....although I've no idea if it means anything....anyone speak japanese?

I'm a huge Darth Vader fan and I love my Boss Gt6.

Simple and easy and I figured no one would have it.

My sign-in name comes from an expression I once heard a kid in my old highschool use when referring to fast/technical guitar playing. He was like, "I don't do finger crunching. That's not my thing". Got a laugh out of it. Now it's my login.

Mine comes from.. well - i actually dont know.

the origin of the name is from the angel of death (biblic) AFAIK, but thats not where i got it from - i simply loved that name since i was a lil child. (and no - i also dont got it from the smurfs - i hate it when peeps say that)

It is not only my screenname - its also my artists nick. i go by it as if it was my real name.

My SN is oldpunker because I was in a punk band a couple years ago and was in my early 30's at the time. Some tennager came up to me after our gig and was talking to me saying he loved the set etc etc.. then asked how old I was.
When I told him he said "Wow your old for a Punker" it just stuck and I use it on the net quite a bit for my sn.

I just put two i's in front of my name, because I wanted my sn to be plainly Holly. Due to the severe amount of people who have AOL account the evil computer suggested I added numbers at the end. Rather than give into the typical BOB19238404 type of thing I put two I's in front of my name, and it stuck. I use it for pretty much every screen name on the internet, so if you see another iiholly its probably me or an evil imposter.

The "joshdean" part is my name. Wow. Exciting, huh? Woohoo.

The "52" was my midget football number three years ago. I got my email then, and used the number. I'm so used to typing it, I just use it for everything.
