Hi Dave

I will try and start from lesson 1 at the weekend. Too late for me in England to do it live.

Could you please let me know what the optimum amp / pedal / amplifier settings should be?

Many thanks

Regards

Andrew

Hi Andrew,

During week 2 of 3 "Two-Hand Tapping" I use two different amp settings:

1 - an overdriven tone with a good amount of saturation (think 80's guitar tones ala Edward Van Halen and George Lynch), a little reverb and short echo/delay.

2 - a clean tone with a little compression, chorus, reverb, and short echo/delay.

I also cover tips on keeping the non-played strings quiet by muting with right hand and using a string damper (like Jennifer Batten and Michael Angelo Batio).

Not only are the tips helpful, but being able to practice them right in class makes the knowledge more absorbable.
