Thanks to the rip off prices we have to pay in the UK on guitars Ive been happily buying them abroad all year and selling them at home in the UK! Its kinda ironic huh! How much is a new Gibson Les Paul Standard in the USA? Ive been getting them for around $1000 and selling them in the UK at around $1500! Its cool cos Im getting to try out all these amazing guitars for a profit!

Where do you get a new Gibson LP standard for $1k ? The online price I see is like 1600 and the classic is about $2K

I have just paid 1150 USD for a LP studio and after I have replaced the saddles and the tuners will have spent too much on it !

How much shipping do you pay, who is the courier and how log do they spend in transit? Im wondering cos Im about to (in the next 12 months) ship all my kit to the UK and Im thinking it will cost an arm and a leg ....... pooo !

RIght! heres how you do it.. go to ebay.com, the american one, then bid on those ones. You can get one for about 550 if your clever and then of course you have to pay shipping and VAT. WIth any luck itll amount to around under £700! Sell em here for over £1000.
Shipping takes about a week!

No not at all I get tones of stuff on line, just don’t get burnt dude ! I just had some really interesting dealings with musicians friend (oxymoron if ever I saw one) and they managed to really piss me off!

The thought of tiring to send returns across the pond to a less than scrupulous ebay seller sounds like a bit of a nightmare... what if he axe is a dog and you are a grand down …eeeek !

Ive bought over a hundred things off ebay and have only come across one crappy seller. He sold me a collection of bootlegs but the quality was so utterly awful they were all both unwatchable and inaudible. He refused me a refund claiming he stated the "quailty varies from DVD to DVD but in general they are great" lol
