Almost all multi-effect units can do that addd reverb , dist on/off , volume , etc. & work with midi at real time ... They only differ in sound quality , and nuumber of effects on board , and number of effects you can use simultaneously .

For the best sound quality from an economic floor unit , only look for Boss (&Roland) or Digitech .
