The songs were re-mixed and mastered in a studio from my original home-recorded demos.

First off I would like to say that some of the greatest guitarists in the world can get their point across just fine musically without having to burn off 65 notes per second lines. They can do it in 2 or 3....

Now having said that. I think the first 2 on ukmp3.com that I heard had real potential... Musically, they were tight, mixed very well, and kept my attention to a point. You're a Satriani fan aren't ya? I could hear some of him in the second song....
The only thing I didn't like about it is that it kind of reminded me of someone talking to a schitzophrenic... You were going and going like the energizer bunny, then BAM! Mister Rogers hit the neighborhood...

You gotta start with a theme and stick with it. Each song to me sounded like you had at least 3....

Good job though... Now I wanna hear the idiot who slammed you for not shredding. His problem though is that the only thing he can shred is cheese...

Well yeah. Those songs turned out quite progressive.
There are those certain themes, but at the same time i felt like adding this section and the this and this. And finally ended up with song that has no repeated melodies whatsoever.

It depends on the song. Sometimes i have the verses chorus parts there. I just try not to repeat myself in every song (which is quite hard btw). I counted that I have like over 60 home recorded songs now. Close to 3 and ½ hours of stuff.
So there are lot of songs from various categories. They all have they weaknesses of course, because they are just home recorded "let see how it turns out" songs.

Splinter, no offense to you man but you need to chill out. Your opinion is welcome, but you are way out of line. If your looking for somewhere to prove how you are such a virtuoso, try http://www.guitarwar.com. You can try to prove it there.

Sami, I totally digged what you are doing. I can tell it is your own style, and that's more important in my book than being another shredder who sounds like malmsteen. :)

I agree with you noticingthemistake. I've met many guitar players that spent their whole time trying to learn how to shred as fast as possible. But that doesn't make an ounce of difference if you can't write music. That track gave me a headache, but the bass player was pretty damn good.

"Another shred clone that 10 000 guitarist have played before" .......man you sound like some geek who is listening to dudes who claim Malmsteen ain't melodic,,,,,,,,,,,,,, what I ment to say was, you only play simpel tapping licks that have been done some many times before BUT you dare talking about debut whahahahahahaha! It don't sound like you master your licks......it sounds like reading notes. Listen to Malmsteens "Now Your Ships Are Burnt" and analyse the difference between Mastering six strings picking and your soft/gay stroking.

Before talking about debut you should have to offer something new since your melodies ain't catchy. You don't even know what shred is.

And f%&k wheres the song stucture. If i want to listen to headless shredding ill listen some Francecsco Fareri (http://www.francescofareri.com/) or Michael Angelo (www.angelo.com) and those overepeated riffs of mister malmsteen. He should had quit after the few first albums. Now hes just repeating himself over and over and over again.
And btw..if i want to sound like the 80s rock band..ill call you for some tips :D

Now splinter,from another post that quotes you(before your post was deleted),you say that s@mi only plays some simple picking stuff or something to that effect.Now,what is unmusical,uncreative,anything,about simple picking stuff?Give a valid reason why,for instance,Yngwie Malmsteen(sp?)is better than say,Led Zeppelin(the real one(s),not the moderator on this forum)just coz he plays faaster than him/them.I've onlt heard stairway to heaven,so I don't even know if Led Zeppelin is/was a band or just a guy.
