My vote would be Steinberger.

I was in a jamming studio and I saw a guy holding something like a violin gig bag , I thought they were a Black Metal band coming to jam with a violinist first , but I was shocked when it turned out to be a guitar !
Then I saw one of my friends who was coincedently the bassist of that band , so he invited me to their jam and I had a chance to play that little guitar .

It simply blew me !! Almost the whole guitar is just a neck , it was hell of a comfortable guitar ... The only disadvantage is that it's very small in shape and looks like crap on anybody (unless you're 10 years old or younger), but the bass looks a lot better since it's a longer scale neck.

One thatz not a famous make eg Cort is the same as an Ibanez.
However to contradict myself i have an Ibanez RG 270. But thatz only coz i really love shredding and Ibanez are built for speed, also the likes of Satriani and Vai use them.

I agree with PonyOne and SLY. Both the Steinberger and the Kramer are underrated. For the money you can't beat them.
Steinberger even makes a doubleneck for under $600.00!
Check them out at http://www.musicyo.com.
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

I too can vouch for the Cyclone. I grabbed one in a guitar shop one day just because I was bored and it suprised the hell out of me.

And while I will say that Fender has allowed their overall quality it dip in the past few years, they completely redefined the industry in a way that nobody else can even come close to. If you're a large producer of guitars, you have to have atleast a Strat knock off, Fender on the other hand can do what they please. You can't over rate something like that.

I too think strats are overrated. I hate the necks...HATE them. I ripped out the old neck and put in a nice Jackson styled one (You know the replacement kind you can order). I then ripped out the frets and put in Jumbo frets and had them sanded and crowned, scalloped the 15th fret to the 22nd, (The works). Then I ripped out the pickups too (Stock strat pickups are crap in my oppinion) and replaced them with an EMG 81 and an 89). Now it's a great guitar. It's now my second "Backup guitar" My Ibanez Sabre being my main backup. My custom built guitar is my main one. And of course all of my guitars have scalopped necks and sport EMG's (Except for my Acoustic).

Kramers are another nice guitar that are underated but were very popular in the 80's along with the B.C. Riches (The Rico's). One day I will own a B.C. Rich Bich (Rico of course, not those cheap immitations you see in musicians friend and other stores).

Parrker fly sounds really nice but are sorely overpriced.

Like I said...totally overpriced (The good ones)

I have a chance to get a randy rhoads polka dotted flying V copy made by Fernandez (only 147 made and only sold in Japan) for a little over $3000.00 but I won't give away the url just yet as this as this url only has one left and I'm in the middle of negotiations with my father.

Yeah...WAY WAY overpriced...but not overpriced for a Randy Rhoads copy polka dotted flying V. Let me know where you can find one cheaper. It's totally worth the price as How many of them aCTUALLY EXIST?????? And the ones that do exist...good luck on buying one....Now you tell me how that is overpriced (Only a true Randy Rhoads fan would ever agree with me)

Parker Fly's are mass produced.....Rhoads guitars are not (Especially the polka dotted one)

I used to own a jackson V (V's are pretty easy to play on once you get used to them) but sadly it was stolen from me.

I've played on many many different types of guitars in the past (I used to work in a music store for 5 yrs. 10 yrs ago (Yeah, I'm starting to get up there in age)

I guess one man's junk is another man's treasure.

Part of that excitement comes from a lifelong dream of wanting to have that guitar (The original of course...but would gladly settle for a replica)
