I just bought a Boss Metal zone MT-2 and set it up to how it said on the boss site to get the right heavy metal sound i want, but when i turn the pedal on the buzzing in the back ground is really loud! :'( when i turn the level up half way the buzzing in the back ground just takes the piss, it actauly overpowers the guitar. How can i stop the buzzing without loosing the effect? Do i have to set my amp's equalizer up to go with the pedal or anything?

you might have your amp's distortion on along with the metalzone. It should run through the clead channel. The eq settings should be 5-5-5 all around. Also, buzzing can come from amp chords. See if it plays well on other chords.
