Anyone who know of some sweep picking arpeggios which can work as a warm up or something to practice every day? I have a few things I play often, but it's some strange stuff, and something I've found up myself.

I am searching for something more... pro - if that's the word. But not too hard either. Well, it's nice if it sounds quite good as well. Anyone?

This one is cool.

--------4-5-7-4-----------------------
------5---------5---------------------
----6-------------6-------------------
--7-----------------7-----------------
--------------------------------------
--------------------------------------

Its an arpeggiated A maj9 chord. (If I remember correctly)
And God said, 'Let there be rock!'
-And it was good

I found these sweeps to be very pleasing, you may wish to look up some more of leandro's sweeps. A guy called Anthony Layne has posted a **** load of sweeps but some of them are pretty tough. Have fun!

An easier variant of the above misses out the 7ths, these are typical neo-classical malmsteem type sweeps.
If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?

A min sweep , Jason Becker style... Better fingering than Malmsteen's .

I don't know if you can honestly say that one fingering's better than another when the notes are not the same!Personally I like those sweeps, there are other notes you can add at the start to turn them into massive sweeps but the stretch is nasty. Perhaps my fave sweep:
----------------8-12--8---------------
-------------10--------10------------
-----------9--------------9---------
---------10-----------------10-------
----7-12----------------------12-7------
-5-8-------------------------------8--5
I Just wondered what fingering you use for that minor arpeggio, I've tried it two ways and I dont' know which is best. Using the terminology in which 1 is the 1st and 4 is the littel finger One way uses the fingering 1,4,3,4,2,1,4
(and the same backwards) this seems the most natural but on the other hand bunching the fingers up for the A minor shape makes it harder to stretch out for that last note. I've tried 1,4,2,3,2,1,4 as well, that gets round the problem of 3rd and 4th fingers getting buched up in that minor shape. What do you find best?
As for the Major one, do you use a bar for the A shape or separate fingers?

About the better fingering thing , I meant to compare the specific shape of the min arp that I posted compared to the one Malmsteen shows in his video , which both share the same exact notes , check out yourself !

Malmsteen play it this way :

e--------------------12--17--12-----------------------
b----------------13---------------13------------------
g------------14----------------------14--------------
D-----10-14------------------------------14-10---------
A-12---------------------------------------------------12--
E---------------------------------------------------

Another way for playing it is (same notes too) :

e---------------------12--17--12-----------------------
b-----------------13----------------13------------------
g-------------14------------------------14--------------
D---------14--------------------------------14----------
A-----15-------------------------------------------15------
E-17-----------------------------------------------------17-

Fingering goews as follows: 4,2,1,3,2,1,4,1,2,3,1,2,4

I can play them all , but I prefer the Becker's way it cuz it incorporates less hands movement which make it perfect (and a little faster too) for most positions on the neck (even from the 19th postion to the 24th fret, like in serrana).

A more effective fingering would be the standard barre shape for an A min chord:

e-------------------------17-----------------------
b---------------------17----------17------------------
g-----------------17------------------17--------------
D------------19---------------------------19--------
A--------19-----------------------------------19------
E-17-20--------------------------------------------20--17-

You can also add the C note on the 20th fret high e-string , which gives more notes selectability with out even moving your hand.
The problem here is that you won't be able to play the Emin in serrana cuz you'll need a 27 frets guitar for that .

That min arp you posted is one of my fav too , Steve Vai used it at the begining of the Crossroads "Eugene Trick bag" .

I play it slightly different with the same notes ... Here's how I like to do it :

e------------------5-8-12-8-------------------
b---------------5-------------10------------------
g------------5--------------------9---------------
D---------7---------------------------10----------
A------7----------------------------------12--
E-5-8-----------------------------------------12-8-5-

my fingering is : 1,4,3,3,1,1,1,4-4,1,2,1,2,4,4,1-1 .

The 1-1 and 4-4 refers to slide (picked or legato , as you like)... You can also make the sound like it's not a slide if you want, I'm sur you know how.

For the maj arp I posted , yeah I use barre (2nd finger) for it ... It's hard to imagine using single fingers at high positions on the neck , and it even feels awkward to do so in lower positions .

P.S:
====

I didn't understand the way you typed your fingering , anyway I typed out mine for every single note both fwd and backwds.
If I'd play that min arp your way , I'd do it like this :
1,(4),1,4,2,1,2,1,4,1,2,1,2,4,1,(4),1

The finger between the () can be replaced by 2nd or 3rd , or even start with the 2nd at the 5th fret and slide to the 8th.
