I don't know if you can honestly say that one fingering's better than another when the notes are not the same!Personally I like those sweeps, there are other notes you can add at the start to turn them into massive sweeps but the stretch is nasty. Perhaps my fave sweep:
----------------8-12--8---------------
-------------10--------10------------
-----------9--------------9---------
---------10-----------------10-------
----7-12----------------------12-7------
-5-8-------------------------------8--5
I Just wondered what fingering you use for that minor arpeggio, I've tried it two ways and I dont' know which is best. Using the terminology in which 1 is the 1st and 4 is the littel finger One way uses the fingering 1,4,3,4,2,1,4
(and the same backwards) this seems the most natural but on the other hand bunching the fingers up for the A minor shape makes it harder to stretch out for that last note. I've tried 1,4,2,3,2,1,4 as well, that gets round the problem of 3rd and 4th fingers getting buched up in that minor shape. What do you find best?
As for the Major one, do you use a bar for the A shape or separate fingers?
If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?
