Everyone talks about perfect tecnique..And that's the question :who has the perfect tecnique?( 2 or 3 in the world?)Personaly i like very much SKID ROW(and all the 80's heavy metal stuff)...and yesterday dowloaded a video-clip of them. And guitarist's tecnique sucks guys. But his solos are amazing. So what's the point?Play how you feel??Copy guitar heros tecnique?

the result is what counts - you can have the worst technique imaginable but when the result is great, it doesnt matter. Rather bad technique and very personal, unique sound with a good result than best technique and no meaning to the music

Who was the other dude?
AS for micheal angelo, I saw a clip of him once. I was horrified. It was all this really cheesy 80s glam ridiculous wig rock and then this guy started playing a solo on this weird four necked guitar both hands on different necks. It's bad enough that the music sucked without the guy being totally ambidextrous and shredding the piss out of practically anyone else alive. AHHHH.
If I couldn't laugh at myself how could I laugh at someone less ridiculous?

Going back to a previous point, why does skid row's guitarist's technique suck? I saw this very funky 3d glasses video of one of their songs (Pyscho love) and though I can't say that kind of main stream sleazy rock thing's my scene they were all very good players and I thought their guitarist kicked ass. Surely poor techniques' what makes you sound crap. This guy didn't.

Dude...
The quest for the perfect technique is like the quest for the holy grail...It just doesn't exist...
We, as humans, are incapable of perfect technique... The best we can do is hope for a clean technique.
If you are looking to emulate someone with a good clean technique, check out either Paul Gilbert or Steve Morse. Both have awesome picking techniques. Gilbert can alternate pick quicker and cleaner than most of us could hope to sweep pick, and Steve Morse is all around a great techician.
Don't believe me? Check out his picking on Tumeni Notes off of the High Tension Wires CD. It's not sweeped, all picked. And as clear as a bell. Also has a great songwriting technique.

So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

I just got a CD of Jason Becker's Perpetual Burn from guitarninerecords today. It sounds like Tony MacAlpine only possibly even faster... I don't think greater technical command is accomplishable. On the other hand it was a bit dull at times! These shred people don't seem to phrase things much, the lengths of silences between the notes don't count to them as much as they should do.
