Hello,

just watching the lesson :"Adding Chords With Muted Strings"

https://www.guitartricks.com/lesson/28991

No problem with every downstroke at beginning of the bar but I barely can hear the accent in the upstroke of the second bar (and I try it, my guitar says "please stop and go to work  into a mine!)
Can someone, please,  point me, to a tutorial focusing on the upstroke accent (YT, is also ok) ?
Thanks

Your pick should be slightly angled with the tip up in order to graze over the strings on a down stroke.  And reversed with the tip down in order to graze over the string going back up.

Anders mentions this in this lesson.

I show it in more detail here.

Get that technique right & then go slowly until you get the accents where you want them.  When you want a strum accented dig in to the strings just a little bit harder on the strum.  Back off on the other strums.  Strum lightly & stay relaxed.

Hope that helps!
