Amp advice

Hello guys. I want an amp to get as my second amp. My first amp was a really bad amp that came in a combo so now I wanna upgrade since I'm in a little band with my friends. So I have found some amps that I like. First amp is the fender champion 40 and the other is the new Blackstar Debut 50r. So I need them to both practice at home and play with my band. I really like both of them but I am a little bit concerned about the effects on the blackstar. Since it's new I haven't found a lot of info about it so I would really love some help from you guys.

Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with either one of them. I have the Fender Champion 40 and I love it. I don't have a Blackstar Debut 50r amp but I do have a Blackstar Fly 3 and I can tell you Blackstar makes quality amps. The Fender Champion meets and exceeds my needs for a good, dependable practice/gigging amp with several amp voicings and effects to use. Is it loud...oh yeah. Go to a guitar/music store where they sell them both and try them out. You will favor one over the other. Again you can't go wrong with either amp. 

Hi, You're probably set up with new amps by now but if you're still looking, I can thoroughly recommend Vox MV50 amps. I use them for my electric guitars (not for acoustic) and I bought the AC model many years ago. This produces a class Vox sound which I enjoy - it's bright and crisp. This sping (2023) I bought the Boutqiue model - it's more mellow and so warm - it produces a really lovely tone. They are 50W amps which I think are reasonably priced - they are (nu)tube amps and I have two 25W Vox black cabinets to play through. I think they may have a more limited range of tones that the amps you mentioned - I have no experience of these - but they are fantastic for what I want. Just as importantly, they are tiny and super light weight. I have a very old Laney (I think) practice amp and an even older (decades old) 60W combo which is basically an orange wooden box (branded 'Boxer') which looks great, sounds really average and weighs about the same as a small pony. Having used the Vox MV50s, I'll never go back to a combo set up again. Perhaps the size of the MV50s may suggest they are not serious amps but they really are.

I use only a Boss ME80 for any effects and for me, a very average but enthusastic guitarist, it works really well with the Vox models. If you're transporting your kit around with you to practice, you back will thank you for using these amps in the longer run!!

I believe that you can't go wrong with either of them. It's the Fender Champion 40 that I love. I know from personal experience that Blackstar makes good amplifiers, but I don't have a Debut 50r type. The Fender Champion is the amp I choose when I need a solid one with a lot of different sounds and effects for practice or gigs. Yes, it's very loud. 

When looking for advice on an amplifier, it's important to understand your needs, from choosing the right wattage to the type of sound you want to achieve. Make sure the amplifier you choose is capable of handling your speakers, and doesn't distort at high volumes.

I find both the Fender Champion 40 and the Blackstar Debut 50r to be very good, but if you are new to the game I think the Fender Champion 40 is more convenient for you, because it is easier to use, and if you have been playing for a long time then use the other one.
