Ok, i was interested in practicing some stuff using the technique in which you strike once with the pick and then you use your fourth finger(the one that is next to the pikie) and after I played for like half an hour this finger became kind of sore on the top and it hearts really bad if I try to play. What should I do in the future in order to avoid this? Any help is appreciated.

What is not clear?

For example

p f p f p f p f
1------------------------------
2------------------------------
3-------------------5----7-----
4---------7---8----------------
5---------------5----5---------
6------5---5-------------------

Where p means that you pick the note
And f means that you play the note with the finger of your right hand that is between the middle finger and the pinkie(whatever its name is)
I have seen a lot of blues players use that technique to acheive snappy and funky sound.

I played figures like this fast and this finger started to hurt really bad and it got kind of sore on the top.
What should I do in order not to hurt it?

I thought it was finger picking.
Ok, that's fine.
I guess I'm asking to wierd stuff here.
Maybe there is not such a technique at all

Actually it is a technique, and it is useful. I just said longer finger nails cause some guitarists will let there finger nails grow longer. Just so they can use them to pluck the string instead of the tips of their fingers. It will keep your fingers from getting sore, but then again the pain will go away with time.

It sounds like he's talking about "chicken Picking", where you alternate between using the the pick and the middle finger to attack the strings. It produces a twangy sound favored by Country and Blues guitarists, and Mark Knopfler.

If your finger got sore thats because you over did it for the 1st time. You have to start slow and build up stamina. Imagine a bass player learning to slap and pop strings for the 1st time and then spending 2 hrs doing so, his right hand is going hurt for the next few days.

Do not use your nails for this technique, they will produce an edgy sound, plus steel strings will tear up your nails real quick. You want the twangy effect produced by using your finger.

Try putting your pick in your mouth and slapping the guitar with your thumb and popping the higher notes with your middle finger. This produces the ultimate funk for guitar. As for soreness, think about how your left hand fingertips felt the first time you played... your finger just isn't used to the treatment it's getting. You'll get callouses after a while.

As I thought, it's too long. Especially if I post more than once per topic, like this. Let me shorten it...
