hi guys, what im interested in is learning what kinda chord structure people like malmstein use when writing songs, it sounds like alot of minors to me but im not much on theory and that is why i am here any help would be great and thanks again. tim pate

malmsteens trademark sound consists of Harmonic minor (natural minor with a sharpened 7th) and phryian monde, (3rd mode of major scale). So i think his chord progressions are based around these sorta things

What Malmstein plays is no different than what others play.
