Hi there,

I have a Ibanez Gio with a tremolo non-finetuning.
Every time when i hold the arm i can start over again.
So thats why i searched for a good fine tuning.
The F.R. III doens't fit because of the LoPro tech.
But the F.R. II is the perfect match. My problem now...

i don't know anything about finetuning.

Can you help me...?
Evreything is welcom...!!

Cheerio,

Er!c

A Floyd Rose is a Floyd Rose ...

There are very minor differences between them... e.g. Some FRs have angeled fine tuners so there'll be less chance to touch them when you're palm muting... My FR doesn't have angeled fine tuners, I even place my palm over the tuners for some vibration , and my tuning never seem to change a bit.

If the FR II fits in your guitar without having to drill in your guitar body get it...
I don't understand what do you mean by "non-finetuning" anyway , but if it ain't FR , I guess you'll have to dig in your guitar body for it which is something I don't recomend.

So it's the Schaller Floyd. Also Floyd Rose original should fit then. Tuning the guitar is very easy. Loosen the nut screws and tune the guitar with the normal tuners. When it's in tune lock the nut and make the fine tuning with the fine tuners. When you turn clockwise it will rise the tune and when you turn anti-clockwise it will lower the tune.
I suggest you put all the fine tuners somewhere in the middle when you're going to open the nut screws and use the normal tuners. When you lock the nut screws again you will be having some space to both directions.
Thanks

Donno , I've never played a Schaller bridge , just heard of them...

If it's just the nut , then it's no big deal , you'll need a little work to install it ... preferably have a trained technician to do it for ya.

But if the bridge is in compatible , That's a Big Deal.

That would make it even easier... Just lock the fine tuners and buy the locking tuners.
Thanks

O.K. thank you for the advice. I see so much good things
about it. But are there some negativs? Strings or
finetuning itself?

If you don't plan to install a locking nut I would recommend that you shouldn't use the fine tuners at all.
If there are tuners in both ends of a string it's guaranteed that it won't stay in tune. Just screw the fine tuners all the way down and use only the normal tuners.
What comes to pros/cons I can't think anything bad about it.
Maybe doing a setup isn't that easy.
Thanks

Yup, that's the way to go...but do you really use both the locking tuners and fine tuners?
Thanks
