If you don't plan to install a locking nut I would recommend that you shouldn't use the fine tuners at all.
If there are tuners in both ends of a string it's guaranteed that it won't stay in tune. Just screw the fine tuners all the way down and use only the normal tuners.
What comes to pros/cons I can't think anything bad about it.
Maybe doing a setup isn't that easy.
