Dejan, 41 here, been playing for 21 years....you'd think I'd be better....But for my first 10 years or so of playing - Page and Hendrix licks were all I needed to know.

22 here. Been playing guitar for about 6 1/2 years sparingly. :) I've had alot of "jamless" gaps in there though. Bass is my main gig, and I've been playing it for almost 10 yrs.

Humm, I started playing the guitar when I was about 13 or 14.

I’m now 32 and after getting stuck in a rut for some years (I was too proud to ask for help…oops!) have taken up the guitar again (thanks in part to finally getting lessons).

In the last year, I have also taken up vocals, bass and the drums all of which are great.

All I have to do now is either get better neighbors or find a legal way of having my existing ones stuffed (think taxidermy)!

My instructors page and www.studiotrax.net for all things recording.

well, i'm at the perfectly draftable age of 18. i've been playing religiously for 4 years, but i started back when i was eleven. then quit for a few years.
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

"I'm eighteen, and I dont know what I want" lalala..
Started playing acoustic at 9 and electric at 12.
I play 1-8 hours/day, and I take 2 guitar lessons (classical)
per week, I've been doing that for about 7 years now.

I'm 19. I have been playing for 12 years on total. It all strated because of my mother who thought that it is important a person to have some musical culture and that's why she signed me for guitar lessons. At first she'd wanted me to play violin but some pedagogues told her that I was too old(I was 7 then) and she decided to sign me for classical guitar. The first seven years of my playing were anything but serious -- It was as a kind of duty, like going to school, and to other lessons, so I did not advanced as much as I could have. THings changed when I went in high-school, I got into GN'R and Metallica and Maiden and similar hard and heavy stuff and I suddenly got very passionate and started practicing a lot more. I still play quite a lot, whenever I have time and I thank God that my mom did not signed me to play violin cus now I would have been a totally different person. :)

i'm 15 now and i've been playing for two years. i started when i was 11 but did some chords on this massive Fender acoustic i bought but then gave it up until two years later.
i started taking lessons again but from a really cool guy and then a bought this baby-blue Samick strat because i though it was like Blink182. at least i'm wiser now. i got into metal and then soloing and do really intense practises.
i love guitar now and won't give it up for anything.
Thanks for listening to this small piece of me.

BTW, zepplin, what wing of the IDF are you going into? One of my girlfriend's cousins enlisted in the equivilant of the Navy SEAL's, I don't remember what they're called. If things over there get way hairy w/this war then we're going to move over and enlist.

well since my parents didnt want me to serve in combat unit, ive done few pre army exams, and im going to do progamming course in the next 6 months.
the navy seals guys are called commandos here.. no fancy names :)

I'm 26 and have been playing for 12 years. When I'm recording stuff I play around 8 hours daily. When I'm not I only play around 2 hours every day. At the age of 14 I bought my first crappy guitar. After a year I bought my first Ibanez (EX) and played it for awhile. After that I bought my second Ibanez (540R Pro). Now I've played my USA Hamer for the last four years. My third Ibanez (RG770DX) just arrived and I'm trying to learn to play with the Ibanez's again.
Thanks
