if your 13+
in a band
and you want to kick start your career.

really the thing i beleive makes u a lot of money is to:first book a nearby hall or function room ,hire sum equipment, ask sum other bands in your school to play or summin, then print off sum tickets on your computer and sell them.

it worked for my band

know any other ways to kick start your career?

One thing I've always wanted to do is to sneak in on
stage during a concert with.. ..say Iron Maiden,
and just as the guitarist is going to play his solo,
I unplug his guitar and plug in my own, and just run out
on stage and play this awesome solo.
Ok so you might not get to play for very long, but still,
lots and lots of people would go:
"hmm who the hell was that, that was kinda cool dude ehe.."
I mean with 100.000 journalists, tv stations, guitarists
and normal people watching it your bound to be famous.
That would be really cool.

i gotta try that sometime!! if you can pull it off and they actually let you play your solo or whatever than it would probably turn historical. wow-delusions or grandeur or what!?
it's great to dream isn't it? but it could be reality......
Thanks for listening to this small piece of me.

Not if you whooped 'em silly first. Man you could hit them with your axe! Don't go down without a fight....

Well maybe it would be like this High-school-movie moment;
The band, the securityguards and the audience all thinks that
it sounds so good that they'll let me play.

i've been once behind stage in Metallica concert and believe me there are no less than 30 gorilaz standing shoulder to shoulder all the way from the band's bus to the stage making a path for the band and you don't even get a scrap of them.
and they don't invite you to their hotel room!

and the Devil sent cooks.

Excuse me while i keep this eye

i wish i wish i wish i could do something like that, but the bodyguards are so annoying. i'll buff up and take them all on with my guitar then go show up the lead guitarist.
i'm in fantasy world again.
it's so beautiful.

Bring an extra cord and tie up the security.

you should run backstage and hit the living **** out of the goons with your axe (a sturdy les paul would do) and then use sharpened jack end and a 0.009 to hold the lead guitarist hostage in front of thousands....onstage.
your demand: to play your solo
they give in and you blast them all away with your beautiful solo that burns the fretboard and touches the soul.
you retire undefeated for the night.
tomorrow night the world.

Bobtheguitarist I Don't hate Fender Squier Strats, but i dod dislike them b/c they have no humbucker, and the strings are above the fretboard a lot, however they do play well and sound fairly decent when distorted

I hate to say this but I think I felt my IQ drop after reading this thread :)
So. If you throw a cat out of a car window, is it considered "kitty litter"?

mine cant drop any lower :D

however - i think you

First:
Wouldnt get into the concerthall with your guitar at all.

Second:
If you somehow manage to kill the bodyguards on the entrance, they´ll for sure cancell the concert and you can play your solo in a prison cell.

the only possible way would be to jump on stage, kill one of the guitarrists with a quick punch in the balls, grab his guitar and start soloin before he hits the ground!

but no matter what - you´ll end up as a prison-guitarrist.. and they have huge buttholes i have been told .. *LOL*

yeah right its like 100,000,000,000 to 1 odds of even making it past the security and climping your fat heavy ass up on to the 8 foot high stage might as well jsut cause a lil right at the main gate before u get in u will have a better chance at doing that then just through a **** load of demos around people are sure to pick them up

don't bother bringing your guitar. go up when the opening band is on, take out hte guitarist. grab his extra guitar lying around and click th A/B Selector and you're ready to go1 you'll have about five seconds so don't screw up.
To improve technique and of course trying to keep all as clean as possible. I know my own limits and speed limits and so on I never play anything I'm not capable of. That wouldn't make any sense. After three years of playing I tried to play everything as fast as possible and that sounded, I would say, like shit, and I didn't realize that if I'd play bit slower things than I was capable of playing then everything would sound much better.

oh, you also might want to send a buudy to run up on stage first, then when the guards are distracted make your move.
