Hey all, just posting here to introduce myself. My name is Thomas, I'm 26, and I've always wanted to learn guitar, I've been a metalhead since I was a teenager and always loved that style. Nowhere near that good yet but hopefully will get there! I've been playing for about a year on and off. Hope everyone is safe and healthy during all the craziness recently.

You sound motivated which will get you far. Isn't it great tackling something you've always wanted to do? I'm finding such joy from playing songs that I've always loved. So my only recommendation is to have fun and keep finding songs that keep you going and trying new skills. The forums are great for asking questions, too.
