I have just startet some lessons on my acoustic guitar. My feeling is, that I have problems setting my fingers in the right positions - as if they are too short. Would an electric guitar with a narrower neck be a better solution for me ?

There are small guitars called Parlor Guitars. They are made for small hands. Go to a music shop and see if a smaller guitar could help. Small guitars can have very good tone and volume, not all do. So listen carefully as you assess the guitars, fit is only part of what your want to look for.

Captcha is a total pain in the........

Hey Gerhard!

All other things being equal, an electric is going to be easier for you to play. You might consider doing a One-On-One lesson with a GuitarTricks instructor who could help you diagnose this much easier through video!

No, your hands aren’t too small. It’s natural for your fingers not to reach the correct strings / frets when first starting out. You just need practise.

If you have doubts have a browse on YouTube for kids playing acoustic guitar. Are their hands too small? 🤗
