I've rarely come across bad springs in a floyd - unless they rust or bust or something. Is your bridge coming up out of the boday ? Is the screw (inside back) turned all the way into the body ? Normally a few turns of the screw will get the tension back on the bridge. (so it sets flush with the body). -Bob

You don't need any special instructions...
Just take off the strings , remove or add springs, then with the tremolo arm raise the bridge back to normal position ...you should put something between the bridge & the body like a 9v battery or a rubber eraser, or else it's gonna be painful to get your guitar strung again.
