Josh - Never heard of Robben Ford !? He's got a ton of stuff out - jazz/blues. I get shivers up my spine when I hear some of the stuff he pulls off. Definetely one of the blues masters - you gotta give him a listen - you'll be hooked.

Yeah Robben Ford is pretty darn good. I don't listen to him all that much, but when I do I enjoy the licks he does. The white man playing the blues, I love it. *that was not a racist remark*

Yeah robben ford is a great guitar player.
I bought his latest album (blue moon) not so long ago
and its a great album ,one of the best blues albums ive heard lately.
What amazes me mostly about players like him is that in every single note he plays , you can hear he knows where he is and what he is doing there.

Shane Pacey (Bondi Cigars) is a fine blues guitarist as well. Anyone venturing down to Australia - I suggest you pick up some of his stuff.

Vitto Bratta from White Lion he was a big part in the writing of the songs and he made some awesome solos. After the 80's like most of the other great guitars like him he just fell off the face of the earth.

I read an article on him, it said he was practising on day and he felt his wrist pop, and he hasn't been able to play since. Now he's contemplating surgury.

I heard about his wrist but not about him thinking about surgery. i know that he hates the music industry and more than likely wont record anything but man i love that guy. He really could play.

Kirk Hamster (I used to dig this guy, but I've later come to realize that he's not very fast, and 70% of Metallica's songs are ruined by Kirk's solos. Not so with One & Fade to Black.)

First of all, listen to Santana's Sacred Fire Album. You'll eat your words. He didn't "get lucky back in the day", he was smart enough and talented enough to play a type of music that was liked. Also, it doesn't matter who his "MTV Collaberations" are, he can still create music that is liked, is played on the radio and doesn't suck.
Secondly, where does speed come into how good a guitaris is? Speed is errelivant. Taste is, and Kirk has that.

Thats one instance. If I were to change my opinion about these two, I would have to see some footage of them screwing up, and I never have.
