Great question Louie. The 'CAGED system' and 'modes' are two different things, but you could consider the 'C form' from CAGED as the 'E Phrygian' mode since it begins on an 'E' note (the 3rd note in C major). And likewise, the 'A form' CAGED pattern could be considered 'G Mixolydian', since it begins on a 'G' note (the 5th note in C major).
