Well hi!I feel very sad because of my playing...I can play a lot of stuff for 1 and a half year(Like maiden solos and that stuff)..But can not improve my speed when i'm playing chromatic scales. There was a period i could play it at 112bpm 32th(4 notes a bit) notes and now it seems difficult to me at 80bpm 16th(2 notes a bit)..I dont feel my right hand safe when playing..I think i make a big movement with my wrist..I don't know i'm afraid of it especially at the first frets..Can you help please????Tell me an exercise..something???

You must meen 16th notes. They are 4 notes per beat. And eighth notes, they are two notes a beat.
Anyway, I'd say try to limit your right hand movement, and keep the movement in your thumb and index finger. Also, perhaps the reason you lost your speed was just lack of practise, if even for a few weeks. I once could play 16ths at around 155 bpm, but then I stopped practising that. Then when I resumed, I was only around 130. I had to work my way up from 130 back to where I was before.

Best advice I can give you is to practice in burst.

Instead of going up and down the fretboard, start by making little burst of three notes. Focus on precision and speed. Don't try to play too fast otherwise you'll end up with sloppy techniques like me :)

When you can play three notes burst really fast (when you think you're good at it) add one note, then another and so on.

You'll see how much your skill will improve but never loose sight of your precision.

Practice down the scale then up the scale then both.

I totally agree with Josh, I went on holiday for 2 weeks with no guitar and when I picked my axe back up after the 2 weeks, nothing felt right, it was very strange, my picking and evry technique I had learnt was so sloppy, I had to re-train myself!

Practice, practice, practice. It will come eventually.

Whenever I know I'll be away from home for more than a few days, I always make sure I've got a guitar to play.
