Hello guys,

My name is Mikey, 25 years old from the Netherlands. Music has been a greatly important part of my life for many years and I've always wanted to learn how to play the guitar. With this whole corona isolation-deal going on right now, I finally decided to get myself an electric guitar and learn how to play. I stumbled upon this website and it seemed like a great way to learn! I am very excited to see how the progression will go and hopefully I will be able to shred at some point!

Welcome and good luck, Mikey. You have stumbled into a good place.

It takes as long as it takes unless you quit - then it takes forever and you will never get there.

So, Mikey, there are lots of negatives with the Covid-19 pandemic and I don't mean to minimize it. But there are some positives! You got your guitar and I have upped my practice time and am probably seing more progress than I would have otherwise (without the isolation)

Good luck to you. Keep us up-to-date on your progress.

Thanks guys! I just started and spend a good 3-ish hours watching the fundemental videos and practicing hand placement and creating basic sounds. I will have to say that I'm having some trouble placing my fingers to create chords (feels very awkward and unnatural), but I did see some slight progress as i practiced a bit. It is really fun though, but defenintely gonna take some time to get used to these finger placements.
