Looking for advice on practicing song parts with a metronome vs. a backing track. I had been using the GT song lesssons and would usually practice a part at the 0.75 speed play along. Then practice with a metronome to slowly (up 2 bpm, down 1 bpm, up 2, etc) bring up the speed to the 0.9 play along.

Now I heard about the Transpose plug-in that lets me set the backing track to any speed I want.

So - practice slowly increasing speed with a play along or a metronome?

Hi

I don't practice with a metronome. I'm not how that would work with dynamic strumming.

But what I do use is the loop function and take 1 small section at a time. And sometimes I use the speed adjustments as well.

I have tried the Chrome Transpose extension just recently and it seems to work well but I haven't played with all the options. Just speed adjustments.

This year the diet is definitely gonna stick!
