What?? That totally sucks! They're the only rap/metal band that I actually like. Why are they doing it?

According to what I read today, Zack De La Rocha quit the band because he feels the decision making process has completely faileed. etc etc....;undermind our artistic and political ideal.
He's working on a single album but don't take my word for it cause I've never even heard of em before.

they totally sucks, their the pioneers of rap-metal, and the only ones that sound good. I hope that its just a publicity stunt but i doubt it.

Well I was never a big fan of Rage, but I think Tom Morello(I think thats how you spell it) is an awesome guitarist, and I hope to a strong solo effort come from the guy

did you hear? It appears that they already had a whole album recorded so they are going to realease it. Its called "Rennagades of Funk" i think thats how you spell it. I heard one of the songs by the same title and it was great. Tom was getting some weird sound i wonder how he did it....
Sounding better is in your head ,not your amp.

first off ponyone your opinion sux!
ok now that i got that out, lets move on....
rage is THE most unique band ive ever heard
NONE of there songs are the same in my opinion there all
just zach's thaughts of the government turned into a song
and along with tom's guitar playin, it justs make the band... if them two stick together the band will live, tim and brad aint really nothing new (no offence) but zach's voice and tom's guitar playing stick together like white on rice... people say thier favorite singer is "blah blah blah"
but i havent heard anyone say that theirs is zach nore is anyones favorite guitarist is tom.. well heres one...me
eveyone plays guitar kinda the same weather its fast, slow, ect., exctept tom he plays his own thing... thats the best kinda playin, why play what everyone else does? make up your own guitar noises (who said its gotta be a note or chord?) thats my 2 cents..oops i lost one.. my 1 cent..later

Strong, logical opinions there Pony... I'm still sad to see 'em go though.
Nobody says you have to find deep meaning in their songs (maybe some consider them a "profound" band, not me, I just thought it was fun and liked their music). You have to admit, some of their songs get your heartpumping. Though, I think the videos add a lot to them, the imagery in the background of nukes going off and police beating protestors and stuff, I'm not sure I would enjoy them if I heard it on the radio.
I'm not sure if I can agree with you when you say that they pretend to be revolutionary. One, Tom Morrello graduated from Harvard majoring in political science, I dont' know about zack though. Two, what's the difference between "pretending to be revolutionary" and "being revolutionary"? If they are pretending, they've convinced me (and millions of other kids), so isn't that what's important? That, pretending or not, they've played at least a tiny role in inspiring government-waryness in kids? Sure I'd rather listen to Bob Dylan any day of the week, but still...
