Hi Folks!

Some of you might remember tha old chat i have set up a few months ago, but the applet was crap so it didnt realy make the cut..

now i have found a new applet that is easy to use and webbased, so that you do not have to download anything. Depending on the connection it might take a bit till it loads up at yer first visit, but once you are logged in there will be no further delays.

Basically all you have to do is go to the url below and wait till it´s fully loaded (it will ask you for a Nickname when it´s done) enter a nick and it will automatically take you into the chatroom.

dont expect me in there within the next few hours - its late here and i´m off to bed.

There will be a user online called "BattleBot" - it is a chatbot - so dont try to get him involved into a discussion - he won´t answer. His task is to watch the chat - he isnt completely set up yet, but he will not hesitate to kick you off the channel when you start swearing.

As soon as a few peeps are in there i will assign channeloperators (preferably guitartricks hosts and moderators) so that we have a crew that will constantly keep an eye on the chat.

cool - just a few minutes after i posted this we had 3 users online! *LOL* - and they actually liked it! - anyway - i´m off to bed - and dont forget - if you need any help with the chat - there is a "help" button at the top of the chat

Looks great, but I'm all alone :(

I hope more people will start using it. It's going to be really cool.

I'll go from time to time but on dial-up it's frustrating since I can't get any phone calls while connected.

Maybe I'm just a goof but I'm durned if I can figure out how to work it. All I get is a page of text about something called Battlebot+ and a line that says to enter your nickname... but there's nowhere to enter it. I tried clicking all the buttons but after 10 minutes I gave up.

Maybe it might be an idea to explain to us computer goofs exactly what to do when we get there.

and as for the emptyness in the chat - since we all live in different time zones it might be a lil tricky to get some peeps in there at the same time (especially in the startphase where everyone just drops in and leaves again) - we should set up a time when we could make a chatsession - thatz the best thing to start i guess (helped me to awaken other chats too).

So we should probably find a time where we all can be in there .. i suggest the weekend perferably. someone come up with a good time plz.

I'm in the GMT -05:00 time zone

I go on the net around 7:00 PM. But like I said before, I can't stay very long since I'm on dial-up and don't live alone, so the phone line needs to be free from time to time :) I usually stay for 30 minutes.

On the weekend I'm on at around 10:00 PM and stay longer.

Rarely do I go in the day since I work.

So tonight 7 PM (GMT -5:00) I'll be on (If everything goes well..)

i´m in CET +1:00 ... and i´m usually on at 16:00 to 23:00 and on weekends all around the clock (well - not 24 hrs a day - but chances are good to meet me at any time.

is ther a timechart somewhere where we can find a common basis?

I tried entering my name but there's nowhere to enter it.
Clicking in the text field doesn't do anything and just typing doesn't produce anything either.
I'm thinking maybe this is a Mac vs. PC problem?
I'm always finding that stuff work weird on Macs... even guitartricks has weird characters and stuff like that Guitar War banner floating in the middle of the screen.

maybe.. hard to tell for a non-mac user basically its just a java-thingy.. i havent written it.. maybe they have a solution on webmaster.com

sorry Azrael, would have go chat a bit but when I saw nobody was there, I went outside to do some winter preparations to my car.

The snow is pounding here! Man do I hate winter, on top of that I got a cold from sunday.

We'll catch each other sometime I hope.
