Hello. I initially started on Guitar tricks about a year ago after buying a Fender acoustic but life got in the way and everything stopped. About two weeks ago, I signed up for another year and picked up the guitar again and have been on a mission. I've made pretty good progress and can play some simple melodies which is definitely further than i got last time. Don't know what it is, but I'm a lot more motivated this time to the point that I've got an electric guitar on the way. I'm 47...started lessons when I was about 12 but only played for less than a year. Hoping you can teach an old dog new tricks.

Yes you can.

Though guitar stuck for me when I was about (late) 16 or (early) 17 (I'm 53 now), I tried several times from 12 on. It was the time it stuck before my Senior year and I've been playing ever since. Anyway, doesn't matter when it sticks, it matters that you're in to it now. Which is pretty great.

Good luck and enjoy!
