Hi everyone,

I just joined GuitarTricks. I've been taking lessons for a little over a year and I'm at that point where I'm getting frustrated. I know there are plateaus and the learning curve flattens out so I'm just trying to push through and stay motivated. I'm hoping that I can add some structure with the GuitarTricks learning paths. Not sure exactly where to start but I'm thinking I'll start at the beginning.

Happy New Year!

Jim

Hi there,

First off, thanks for choosing Guitartricks as your place to learn guitar!

If you've been taking lessons for a little while, and you know how to play some chords, you might want to start with Guitar Fundamentals 2 here: https://www.guitartricks.com/course.php?input=fundamentals2

If you want more info on where to start, check out this blog post on how to get started with Full Access: https://www.guitartricks.com/blog/How-to-Get-Started-with-Full-Access

In regards to your plateau, this is pretty normal. It's always fun to jump-start your guitar learning by tackling songs, which we have over 1000 officially licensed song lessons! Check those out here: https://www.guitartricks.com/songs.php

Learning songs is my favorite way to pick up on new techniques and hopefully it helps you as well.
