I think Dream Theater (ok, actually theyĀ“re from 80-s but they got they breakthrough Ā“92 with Images And Words).

But honestly, my opinion Ćs that bands from 80-s are the greatest so far. Guitar players were definitly in their best form during the 80-s. There are some amazing new guitars players no doubt about it but I just like 80-s shred more. ItĀ“s somehow more honest. No effects, they had pretty shi*tty sound just distortion and wah and thatĀ“s it man. Who needs those fu*ck*inĀ“ multieffects and sh*it.

Pantera hands down is the best band from the 90's. they didn't care about following trends or making people happy with their music. they made kick ass metal and didn't give a **** about anybody.

You do realize that Pantera had three or four Glam albums before CFH came out, right? They completely changed their sound.

My favorite 90's bands would be Morphine, STP, and Primus.
