I have had to skip barre charods almost completely because my fingers just dont work that way. Anyone else have all kinds of trouble with them?

I used to have the same problem and moved on to other lessons. Just recently I was noodling around with the guitar and started back messing with barre chords and, HOLY COW!!-- I was actually playing them. With good tone. WTH???
With everything, I guess, it's just a matter of practice, practice, practice. Don't beat yourself up and just keep plucking. Eventually things just seem to fall into place.

Yes guys, it take some time before you have them in you fingers. Keep on making the shape on the neck and after a while it will feel natural and you'll be able to make all notes ring out clean.
