new player (about a week or so). I've been practicing with the simple chords and my high e always has a bad twang sound. When I play it as an open note, it sounds great. Only seems to be when I'm doing a chord. I don't think I'm touching it (it doesn't seem muted) and it seems louder than the other three notes. Am I doing something wrong with the pick maybe? Thanks

Maybe it's your strumming? A little bit too hard. Watch Lisa's pick hand. She's just "sweeping" over the strings instead of attacking them. That doesn't mean go really light or anything but it's just the technique. That will come in time but that high e string will sound out and sound twangy if you're coming across it too hard.

Just try strumming lighter until it sounds good and notice the feel how you're going over the strings doing that, than over time you can strum harder but remember how that feel was and it should carry over.

Okay, thanks for the suggestions--I"ll give that a try!
