how is dave matthews seen in the eye of the american public?
since he was born here..(south africa).. and this being a place where there was a lot of racial hate..how do american people see him...coz he plays in a multi racial band..

Dave Matthews is a god here, to many young people. Maybe a lesser deity, but no mere mortal. I've never heard anyone criticize his band for being multi-racial. That's pretty much a non-issue here in the states, except within little pockets of extreme ignorance. Some rednecks still look down on multi-racial marriage, but I think even rednecks see no problem with multi-racial rock n/ roll bands.

Get this: there's even a Dave cover band here called the Tripping Billies. All they play is DMB tunes and the lead singer looks just like Dave. That shows you how popular DMB is when a band doing solely their tunes can be successful.

DMB is awesome. I have like them since their first album. Who cares about what race they are. Not everyone in this country is racist. They have made most of their success in the U.S.

i dont like dave mathhews band, and most of my friends dont like them either. Its not that he doesnt have talent, but he just rubs me the wrong way, thats all.
