hi all ime tony, been playing guitar on and off for years, joined a couple years ago, think its helped? yes it has, at the moment am trying to learn ,pull me under by dream theatre, and finding it chalenging, so any help would be greatly apreciated, my gear , i have a kramer sc211 which i brought brand new for around 250 quid, its not bad? in fact its really good? i have a yamaha thr10 which i use for learning stuff, have also got a boss me 80 hardly used it ? must start? and i have a blackstar ht 5 amplifier hardly used that also? am just a hobyist but yearn to play better,well nice talking to ya, gonna press on ? bye for now ,speak soon regards tony

I would be using that Blackstar if I were you. About "Pull Me Under," Petrucci is one of the best of all time, even back then when he wrote Pull Me Under! Overall the song is not TOO difficult, but it has some difficult runs. So you need to pull out your metronome and slow the song down and learn it really slow, then gradually speed it up.

Hey there, Tony!

Yeah, pretty much anything by Dream Theater is going to be challenging, but Pull Me Under is one of the more manageable songs.

Just like bbzswa777 said, there are some difficult runs, so a good approach can be to just focus on the main riffs at first and add the speedy solo parts later. It's a fun song to play!
