Hi GT,

I got inspired by Rich's samples and would like to share these 2 pieces with everyone.

1.My attempt at Southern Rock. The backing track was put together by me using the loops in Garage Band.

2. Did a song with my friends Alex and Phil. No prizes for guessing who we ripped this from ;)

Bass and Harmonica : Alex
Drums : Phil
Vocal and Gtr were overdubbed by me.

Cheers!

Glad I could be a source of inspiration. The first track is pretty cool. The guitar tone is an interesting contrast to the gospel feel the piano gives the track. You have some great chops...I hope to get there one. I'm going in the right direction.

Yes, I can see why there are no prizes for guessing the "inspiration" for the second track...pretty funny! Good stuff!

Pretty cool! You have some interesting phrasing ideas. I really like the tone too except for the amount of reverb/delay. But it's not like you used more than usual; it seems that most people use quite a bit. I just like less.

You sure have a good ear for tone :) It is the only gtr I have that has no whammy bar - an Epiphone Les Paul. The action of the strings are too high for me to use it as my main axe. But the sustain and tone...!

Agree that I had gone a tat over on the reverb. I was trying to 'hide' the noise from the signal chain.
