The BP oil spill all but wiped out the 6 and 7 piece show bands along the gulf coast. Mostly single and duo gigs now. I have been playing sax for 35 years in the area and its been a long dry spell.
I have always picked up a guitar between sets and fiddle around a little bit. Its get serious or keep walking around broke!! I am working hard to get that one thousand hours of practice behind me.
Peace and Merry Christmas!!

Wow, what a great effect one company can have on everything. Sax is one of my favorite instruments to listen to, but I can't play even one note...

I'm sure you'll have a pretty huge advantage learning the guitar since notes and theory won't be new to you.

Best of luck!
