It's not sloppy playing, but more of a sloppy feel (in a good way).
Let's see how good my ear is:
I know you have some reverb going on.
It sounds like you have some delay, a pedal or is it in the rack?
I would guess that's the neck pickup?
And you have some overdrive. Unless you just have the gained turned up
What do you use again? Is it Amplitube or something else? I would love to know your settings and gear.

When I wrote sloppy blues this is what I used.
2013strd strat:middle pickups only.
Boss js10:
Effects: reverb, chorus, delay, with the gain up.
Cable : fender
Pick: fender medium.
You damm good bbzw. Nice call.
There's no right or wrong tone. It's what you like.

Wow, that's your strat?? Huh, I would have guessed your PRS. Nice tone!
Cool stuff!! I like how you built up some intensity with speed to contrast the more sparse playing in the mellow parts. The trill with the whammy bar dip was cool...very Jeff Beck-ish.
My only suggestion would be to focus on locking into the groove more. Make sure you can hear the backing track really well as you are playing. I've been through this myself...
Great stuff...can't wait to hear more :).

Thanks rich, yeah I definitely need to pay more attention to the track.
Next one will be better hopefully. Custom shop fat pickups.
I was originally gonna use my 08 but there's a problem with the g string,it won't stay in tune.

Ah, custom shop fat pickups...that explains it! Usually a strat on the middle pickup, or middle combo, has a really distictive "stratty" sound that I associate with Clapton, SRV, and Rory Gallagher.
I'm sure each one will get better axe!! Onward and upward!

I think so if I start taking my time.
Get a good listen to the track.
I usually just plug and play, how ever it turns out, well so be it.
Next one I'll incorporate some playing time with it.

I really like your tone and your use of long, sustained notes - very atmospheric. I can imagine listening to this in a late-nite blues club......nice work! Steve

Thank you Steve, I'm glad you like it.

I Caint believe I can get that kind of tone from my boss js10.
