Strange question

I don't know why, but over the years I have been playing, I have this thing about my hands always being clean when I play, It is weird, nothing disturbs me more than the feeling of my hands being dirty while I am playing, I know that this is bizarre, anyone else like that at all? Pretty much every time the band takes a break at either a gig or a jam I always go and wash my hands, strange eh?

That's a good habit to get into, your strings will last longer.

I always wash my hands. Also, you might try using a dash of cornstarch on your fretting hand. That really works to cut down on friction and keeps your hands nice and dry.

I ALWAYS clean my hands before playing, because it does help my strings last longer and keeps my fretboard looking nicer. I also wipe down my fretboard and my strings after playing and it keeps everything nice and clean.
