As some of you may know, I have finally crossed the border, I went into 7 strings heaven. I have looked around for some good sites or tabs, but nothing, except Korn or VAI's stuff, and it's not totally amazing things.
So I have created http://7strings.free.fr to put those amazing things on the web, myself... Except I don't have anything amazing yet... I have found a couple of good things, but that quite short for a site... So if you wanna help out, you can write a column and send it to me, with an mp3 or not, since I can play it if you don't want to spend too much time sending it.

The site will be in english and in french, there will be a forum, lessons, maybe tunes written by 7 stringers etc... and links. Hope I'll find someone. By the way, no style is required, only good ideas on how to use a 7 strings. Also, it's hosted for free, done for free, so if you do that to make money, you can keep on playing in your room instead of sharing your knowledge with the world (or only me, for that instance)

Jere Haakana, an unknown but still great guitarist, plays a 7 string, and he has some great/psycho songs. Check out his page at http://personal.inet.fi/surf/jerehaakana/index.htm

Also, you can download some of his songs from MP3.com at http://artists.mp3s.com/artists/53/jere_haakana.html

He has done some lessons specifically for 7 string guitar at http://www.chopsfromhell.com
You can find these at http://www.chopsfromhell.com/guest_haakana.html
This first lesson includes an extensive look at Jere's slap+pop guitar technique. It also has a little section on two handed tapping.

And the other one is at http://www.chopsfromhell.com/guest_haakana2.html
This one includes: heavy riffs, 7 string sweeps, his awesome slap+pop technique for guitar, crazy string skipping scales, and two-handed piano-like technique (tapping an arpeggiated chord in the left hand, and a chord fragment or melody an octave or two up with the right hand, implying chords like a piano player would)

You should email Jere (there's a link on his homepage) and ask for permission to put those lessons he wrote on your new 7-string guitar lessons page. Hope this helps...

"You must stab him in the heart with the Bone Saber of Zumacalis... well, you could stab him in the head or the lungs, too... and the saber, it probably doesn't have to be bone, just anything sharp lying around the house... you could poke him with a pillow and kill him."
