Heya all!

Glad to have joined this community! I'm two days now aboard and im impressed about what is laying ahead here. I've taken an overlook about the Features, and i'm really excited about it.

Some Facts about me:

- Im 40 years old and i'm coming from Switzerland.

- I've tried to learn acoustic guitar by myself, trying with books, chord lists, and without instructor led sessions. After some years, i realized that i did not progress very well. Then i searched for guitar lessons on the Internet, and found this site. I regret that i didn't do it earlier.

- Yesterday i started from the very beginning of the lessons and worked me through almost all of the first part of the core learning System. And i am impressed, really. In just one day i learned about the correct use of the Hands (i'm lefthanded, but there was no Problem), and about moving on the fretboard. Having already some experience, that was easy to adapt to it. All of it was very well explained, and if i had to learn it by an real time instructor, 1. i've had to pay hundreds of hard earned bucks, 2. it would have taken me weeks (yesterday i played half a day...).

-About my Equipment: I own a Tanglewood TRD-CE LH (Lefthand-Model) with a B-Band A3 Pickup, an USB-Interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i4) for connecting the guitar to the PC, Amplitube 3.0 Software, Ableton 9 Suite Software, a Rode NT1-A Microphone, a Roland EV-5 Expression Pedal, a Peavey Dual DeltaFX and and a Beringer Virtualizer 3D FX2000 Effect Processor.

So far, i'm glad to be here!

Musical Greets to all!

Peter

Welcome to GT fellow European!

I'm thinking about getting a Røde NT1-A myself, as I've heard really good things about it. How do you find it?

Hi everybody!

Thanks a lot for the welcome.

@Ben:

About the NT1-A (Rode): For the Price you get a solid, warm sounding and for vocal use very high qualitative microphone. There are People suggesting that the Rode NT-1 (without A, which means Anniversary Edition) is the better choice. You can't go wrong whith this microphone. You get a 10 years (!) warranty, what Shows the confidence of the manufacturer in his product.

At the end, it is a Budget question, i mean, there might be better microphones out there (Neumann TLM-102), but they are at another Price Level. I suggest, to try a Youtube search for product Reviews, it might give you an Impression about the Sound of the microphones.

Hope to could have given some useful Information, i wish you all a good time!

Musical Greetings, Peter
