Freebie Premier Guitar Magazine

I just learned that the April edition of Premier Guitar is available here, http://digital.premierguitar.com/premierguitar/201404_1#pg2 , for a free read. The issue covers Winter NAMM 2014.

In fact, from the url I can access a whole bunch (all?) back issues and I haven't paid a cent. How can they do this? Has it always been like this or is this a short-term promo (sweetwater.com sent me the link)?

Hey John - I've been getting stuff from PG for months (maybe years), usually 4-5 e-articles plus the monthly " magazine" - I have never paid anything - nor do I recall ever signing up or requesting anything from them - ?

I agree, not much of a revenue stream for them - but I usually find something interesting. They do a lot of reviews which I like. Sure can't buck about the price ! :)
