Tone pedal to use with archtop

I'd love some recommendations about EQ or tone pedals. I use a Godin archtop with humbuckers, and I use a loop pedal. As I put vocals and guitar into the loop pedal, and only one signal comes out, I can't put the signal out through a guitar amp. The guitar DI'd is a bit thin. It's not horrible, but it is a bit thin. I've tried putting the guitar through an amp on the way into the pedal and mic'ing the amp, but I get a poor signal. (Although might work with a bigger amp that had a line out.) It would be great to have a pretty portable set up and get a richer tone with a pedal, though, if anyone has any recommendations.

I see. There could be a number of problems as well as opportunities with a setup like the one you're describing. Let me see if I understand you clearly. You're happy with your setup the way it is and just want to add an eq or tone pedal?
