Hey man I just had a total hip replacement Sept. 23rd. Too bad I don't live closer, I could swing by and we could have walker races.

One day my hip muscles seemed to be wanting tighten and release on their own, so I asked my wife to bring me my acoustic. I laid the back of the guitar on my hip and played some songs in the key of E and G. Maybe my muscles would have stopped anyway, but after the sound waves moved through massaging the muscles for a bit, they quit cramping.

Just passing on the information as I found it interesting and who knows if it might help you at some point. If all you have is electric guitars, maybe a set of head phones placed on the knee would help. Just play soft healing music.

Welcome home, from your guitars.

hahaa...."walker races", at least you still have your sense of humor. That must be a TOUGH surgery, yikes! :(

Cool story about the guitar playing helping your cramping, music definitely is theraputic. My dad drinks apple cider vinegar for cramps, it taste like crap but he said it works for his leg cramps.

yes, I wish you both a speedy and healthy recovery too!

Thanks to you both.

I have a friend the doctors say has acid reflux pretty bad.

So he started drinking a small glass of apple cider vinegar every time it bothered him. I asked him about it a while back, he said it's pretty much gone and if it tries to come back he just slams a glass of the vinegar. He also says, it tastes like crap, but it works.

Everybody should look into nascent iodine. Here's Dr. Brownstein's talk on; Iodine, The Most Misunderstood Nutrient. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-I7d-3GCB4

...sorry to hear about the injuries guys. I'm now into a knee brace due to an old injury and am healing a crushed thumb. Fortunately, I could play the guitar the day my thumb was crushed...thought my passion (guitar) was over. Ironically, without the thumb nail I was able to press my thumb into a better shape for thumb overs! ...kids, don't try this at home, it hurts, bad.

My dad says the same thing about acid reflux+apple cider vinegar=gone.

Sometimes the simplest solutions are the best! Works for dandruff and as a natural deodorant too.

I healed myself using apple cider vinegar too - I didn't believe it would work so I set out to prove to my friend that he was dead wrong about it. I hate to admit this, but he was so right and I was so wrong. I'm healed now and only get heartburn once in a great while like if I drink too much. I used to have a huge jar of rolaids by bed and I'd have about 4 a night just to get through the night. I haven't touched rolaids in a couple of years now. :)
